We are currently recruiting for the position of:
Agricultural commodities market analyst for our Oilseeds desk
You will contribute to our analysis of European and global markets for oilseeds, oilmeals and animal productions, as part of the wider Stratégie grains team
The role
- Producing supply, demand and trade forecasts for oilseeds, vegoils and oilmeals at European and world levels. The analyst will use Tallages existing forecasting and data management tools, as well as collecting data from contacts on the ground and in companies, from official bodies, press agencies, via the internet, in seminars and using bibliographical research
- Producing forecasts of animal productions and consumption of meat, milk and eggs in emerging and developed countries using our existing tools; contributing to the improvement of these tools and assisting in the development of new models
- Participating in writing our monthly Stratégie grains Grain Report and Oilseeds Report, and contributing to the news updates on our website www.strategie-grains.com
- Participating in the specific missions and studies we undertake for our clients
The profile
With training as an agronomist or agricultural engineer, you will preferably have 5 years experience in market analysis or in the agricultural or agro-industrial sectors.
For the right candidate, we will be happy to recruit a beginner.
The role requires good writing skills (in both French and English), a natural curiosity, strong analytical skills, a rigorous approach, strong interpersonal skills (especially on the telephone when seeking information), an interest in using IT tools and fluency in English. A second language would also be appreciated.
The role offers the possibility of further development within our team, as well as within the AgriBriefing group
We are offering a permanent contract with management level status
Office location: Moret-Loing-et-Orvanne (77)
We offer the possibility of working from home for up to three days a week, once the Covid crisis has ended (at present, all staff are working from home)
Start date: as soon as possible
Salary: commensurate with experience and profile
